Dia Mirza Announces Pregnancy By Showing Off Her Baby Bump; Says, ‘blessed To Cradle This Purest Of All Dreams In My Womb’ – Times Of India – Tech Kashif

Congratulations are in order for Dia Mirza and her husband Vaibhav Rekhi as they are expecting their first child together!

The Bollywood actress announced on Thursday that she is pregnant with her first child. She shared the happy news by posting a picture that saw her cradling her baby bump. Brimming with joy and excitement, Dia penned a heartfelt verse that read, “Blessed to be… One with Mother Earth…One with the Life Force that is the beginning of everything… Of all stories. Lullabies. Songs. Of new saplings. And the blossoming of hope.Blessed to cradle this purest of all dreams in my womb.”

While this will be the first child for Dia, it will be the second for Vaibhav, who is father to a daughter Samaira from his first marriage.

The couple, who have been together for over a year, tied the knot early this year in a low-key garden wedding ceremony.

The couple recently jetted out to the Maldives, where they have been enjoying some quiet time together with daughter Samaira keeping them company.

Dia won hearts when she posted a photo with her step-daughter and penned a caption that read, “Cast Away’ let’s play. Our #JAMoment on a secluded island in the sun! What fun.”

Since her February wedding, the actress has left fans mighty impressed by her decision to solemnise her wedding with a female priest. “The highest point for us was the Vedic ceremony conducted by a woman priest,” she said in a statement to ETimes.

Vaibhav’s ex-wife Sunaina Rekhi, also touched many hearts when she didn’t just give the newly-weds her seal of approval, but even added that welcoming Dia to their family was a ‘really nice extension for their daughter Samaira’. She even went on to add that it was very important for her child to see what ‘love’ looked like, something that Samaira couldn’t see between her father and mother when she was younger!

Dia was previously married to film producer Sahil Sangha for five years, before calling it quits in 2019.
